First Steps Towards an Indestructible Faith- The 3 A's

Awareness:

The first step is being aware of these thoughts and how you are coping right now. Check in with yourself. Honestly answer the questions above. How are you doing? What are your current thoughts, feelings and behaviours like? By speaking to a trusted person and journalling are you can begin to recognise how you are generally feeling and coping with life. Journalling can also help to reduce stress and develop your personal growth *1. Therefore, Biblical Journalling will help you develop your Spiritual growth too!

Acceptance:

You need to accept that you are in the place that you are in, that some things may be out of your control. It’s important that you recognise anything that may be preventing you from growing or moving forwards on your journey of life with God. Perhaps you are needing to take a step back from trying to control the things that you can’t and taking control of the things you can. But most importantly knowing that God is ultimately the one in control, if only we let him.

Act:

Back to the things we can control. It’s time to take action! But know that you can do all things through God who gives you strength (Phil 4:13).

Recheck the questions above. Are there any beliefs, thoughts or behaviours that are holding you back right now?

Psalm 66:10-12 For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.

We all have gone or are going through some rough storms but with God we can and will be restored! He has promised us this.

Psalm 71:20 Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.

Psalm 72:12-13 For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.
