Walking With God

To be walking with God is to be aligned with Jesus & guided by the Holy Spirit. When you are the journey becomes better, much, much better!

I’m not saying you won’t experience problems and difficulties because you will whilst on this Earth. What I am saying is, that when you’re aligned and walking with God the journey will be much easier to cope with, not just spiritually but emotionally too!

Are you walking with God?

It is important that we are walking our journey through life on the right path and with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit by our side.

Especially as the Holy Spirit is our guide.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

John 16:13

How can we not?

It’s the only way in which we should be walking. I can understand how we can get off track, traipsing down the beaten path. This could be in the form of distraction, is your attention elsewhere? Or perhaps habits, behaviours, relationships, even work. If the path you are headed down doesn’t align with Gods will and purpose for your life, it’s only making life harder for yourself! Perhaps you’re trying to do a project or something of your own strength. If you are doing it with God, He is your strength! And, wow, how much easier it can become too!

It is important though, that as soon as you recognise you’ve gone off track that you get back on it and keep yourself aligned with Him. It’s your responsibility, no one else will do it for you. Ouch! It might be harsh but at the end of the day we all have choices. You get to choose which path you take.

But, how can we realign with God?

By building a relationship with Him, spending time in prayer and not forgetting to listen to what He says to you too.

In addition to this we need to read the Holy Bible.

a message for the christian leader

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Psalm 119:105

The anagram of Bible is Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth! And so, we need to read those instructions. It’s not about law it’s also about Jesus, It’s about how we can truly live in the fullness and freedom that God has for us, for you! Therefore, it’s important we spend time reading it.

In order to truly be walking with God and to fully enjoy His promises, and blessings for us we need to ubmit to Him, turn our focus towards Him (not become distracted), connect with the Holy Spirit and by doing so we WILL be restored and we will experience revitalisation of our soul too!

walk with God

The Lord rewarded me for doing right; he restored me because of my innocence.

2 Samuel 22:21

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

In order to receive those blessings and promises we need to be walking with God and be aligned with him too! Wether we are doing all of the above for the first time, second or third. He has forgiven you. Is it time to forgive yourself and move forwards?
