Heavenly Maid- Your Kingdom Purpose

Your kingdom purpose is to serve God, discover His will and how you can serve Him, You are officially a kingdom maid!

Let’s see what the Bible says about serving.

We are to serve God and work here on Earth with the gifts and talents we have been given according to Gods’ plan and purpose for Him and His kingdom as well as helping and caring for others (Matt 25:14-46)

“Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.” (Romans 6:13)

“But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.” (Romans 7:6)

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” (1 Peter:4:10)

You also have a purpose, wether you recognise this yet or not and that is to ultimately serve God.

Serving God is to abide in Him, spend time with Him, in His Word and in His presence. Listen to Him; what does He says to you through scripture and personally? Then continue to obey Him with what He says and asks of you. This is being heavenly maid, this is your kingdom purpose.

The Word of God gives us plenty to go on regarding what we can and should be doing with our lives, so spend time each day reading, studying and meditating on it, so you can learn and discover your kingdom purpose.

Your Kingdom Purpose

This ‘kingdom purpose’ is for EVERY ONE of Gods children. Perhaps you don’t think you have one, or believe that certain tasks are not for you. But the following is how you can and need to be serving God & His Kingdom. These are for you.

First and foremost we are to love God and love others (Matt 22:36-40). So if you are following this rule then you need to look at how you can show this love, to God and other people. Love comes from the heart but our actions demonstrate that love. That right there is how to be a heavenly maid and live in your kingdom purpose.

A way of showing your love to God is spending time in prayer & worshipping Him. All relationships need communication and in your relationship with God prayer is the way to do this. Talk to Him & give Him space to talk to you too. Worshipping Him isn’t about having Christian music playing in the background, it’s giving praise and worship directly to God. You would give a child praise when they bring you a painting they did or after a winning a game. How much more does God deserve praise?! He is the creator of heaven and earth after all!

How to love others can be shown through action. Ask yourself and God “How I can serve and help others?” We can also serve in church and in the community. Ask people, leaders, organisations, charities, individuals how you can help them (1 Pet 4:10).

“And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” (Mark 16:15)

One way to serve God and show love to Him and others is to share the Good News with others, which can also be known as evangelism. We do this because we should love others and Jesus died for absolutely everyone therefore, speak out and do what the Lord is asking; introducing and bringing others into His Kingdom.

You have been given skills, talents and gifts (1 Corinthians 12). We read in the ‘Parable of the talents’ otherwise known as the ‘parable of the three servants.’ (Matt 25:14-30). Which suggests that we are to serve by using our talents. It tells us that everyone has been given gifts and talents and they are to be used to serve God for the sake of His kingdom. You are to use them not just to improve your own life, but for the lives of others. In the parable, the ones that use theirs accordingly end up having them multiplied and the one who buried his talent ended up having it taken away and given to someone else. The moral of this story is:

Your Personal Kingdom Purpose

As you’ve just seen we ALL have been given the guidance and the ability to serve and all the above is your kingdom purpose. But you will also have your individual purpose, or ‘calling,’ according to Gods plan and will for Him and His Kingdom. Discovering and using your God given gifts is important to do this and to be His ‘heavenly maid.’

Wether you believe it or not, you do have one. God has a plan and purpose for everyone.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

Discover what yours are and put them into action. If your not sure what they are yet then ask yourself and God the following:

What are your talents and skills? What are you passionate about? What can you help others with? What are the gifts God has given you?

It can most often be down to you personal life experiences. What have you gone through? What have you learnt from them? Who may be going through what you did and how could you help them?

Your mess can become your message.

Your test can become your testimony.

Share it and help others.

Then listen, obey and step into your kingdom purpose. You won’t regret it, it’s an awesome opportunity to be used by God and walk in His plans for you.
