Whether we are suffering from depression or not we ALL feel down, sad, blue at times. That’s part of being human. It’s good to recognise the cause of this and not to ignore it. See It’s OK not to be Ok. But, on the other hand, we don’t want to feel down, do we? There’s a few things I have learnt over the years to help me boost low moods, down days or even periods of depression. If you want to know more, check out these posts:
But one One factor that really helps me is music. Playing some tunes that I enjoy lifts my mood. But also, when I listen to worship music, not only is my focus turned to God and praising Him, it lifts up my spirit too. How awesome is that!
Last week I noticed I was feeling low (well after almost a few days of feeling like it I realised!) and didn’t want to carry on feeling like that. So I attached my phone to a speaker and whacked on my playlist. I admit I wasn’t properly in it to start with BUT, low and behold, 2 songs in, my mood was lifted once again and I was praising the Lord with my whole heart.
