9 Verses for Meditation- Comfort

It’s been a while since I’ve written a ‘Verses for meditation’ post and so I thought that some verses on comfort may just be what some might need right now.

Our God has so many names but one of them is Comforter. He is with us and can comfort us any time we ask Him to be, He’s waiting for us to reach out to Him. So, whether we are going through a certain situation or just need to be comforted then reach out to Him.

We can do this by prayer, reading the word of God and biblical meditation.

Verses for Meditation on Comfort

Psalm 23: 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Psalm 119:52 I remember, Lord, your ancient laws, and I find comfort in them.

Job 36:15 But those who suffer he delivers in their suffering; he speaks to them in their affliction.

Isaiah 66:13 As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”

Jeremiah 31:13 Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

2 Corinthians 1: 3-4  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,  who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

As you go through these image Jesus’ arms hugging you. Feel free to check out some other ‘Verses for meditation’ posts, one that might be of interest following this post is ‘Reassurance’. I’d like to also invite you to share this post and comment below.
