Following on from the Pain to Purpose post a few weeks ago, I’m feeling the urge to share how God has been working in my life this past 6 months.
It’s a story of growth, with God, through Jesus and on a personal (mental, emotional and spiritual level).
I’m so excited to be sharing whats been happening, God’s plans, with you all.
If you haven’t yet seen, then check out the About page to read a bit on my story and how we (God and I) are using it for His glory on this website as Mindful of Christ and how we are branching out to help you personally.
As you just read on the About page:
“In the middle of a prayer meeting (Day of Prayer) He clearly told me to start offering 1-2-1 sessions alongside the book.”
“Pushing a a few doors, a few remained closed then… it was clear what God was asking me to do.”
I signed up for a ‘Professional Life Coach Certification (Accredited)’ and through this, my own bible studies, prayer, research and journaling this last few months I’ve become even closer with God. Back in February I finally submitted my whole self to Him, Every. Single. area of my life. I stopped worrying and thinking about particular areas (health, kids, relationships [Check out Feeling Unloved?] what I want) and focused on Him. I want(ed) to get to know Him more and as a result from this, I learnt to hear His guidance more clearly (as have made poor decisions in the past and didn’t want to do that or any area of life through my own strength, ideas & imaginings anymore) and His plan for my life has been revealed.
I’m not telling you this to big myself up, that is NOT the intention. I purely want to share the amazing work of God.
As you’re probably well aware by now (the About page, blog posts, book prologue and interviews) my life story isn’t and wasn’t an easy one.
I really don’t want to talk about my past and life situation again, you get the gist, as thats not the point here, the point here is how God has used that pain for His purpose and glory and I want to now, with His help and guidance, help others (perhaps you?) who were or are in that same place, that I was.
You can see in the above image the just one of the verse’s God has put on my heart:
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope
So, while we will likewise suffer during our earthly sojourn, we are blessed through the work of the Holy Spirit, and we will be raised with Christ and enjoy unspeakable blessings in the presence of our Lord. This is ultimately what is meant by God’s promise of “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” And it is so much better than any promise of worldly prosperity.” 1
So what does this all mean for you?
Can you relate to these? Am I talking about you?
Don’t worry, I was Struggling with these too (it’s a journey.)
If you would like to join me on this journey and have answered yes to these questions then together, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, lets.
Check out the Christian life Coaching page and drop me an email with “Yes please” in the subject line to email@example.com and when we are officially up and running I can offer you a FREE first session where we can get to know one another and find out what yours and God’s ideas, aims, intentions and plans are and what I can do for you personally.
